For the birds!

Reminder: My 30K hit blog candy event goes on thru 9/11 midnight cst, here's the link

This week we were challenged to make anything but a card for Angel's Landing. I saw these cute little metal buckets at Target this week and they just hopped in my cart. How perfect for a cute little gift for a bird-watching friend! I used the same bird from Angel's Landing { here's a link to it }, I just duplicated and flipped it in my word processing program so they were facing one another. I cut the rectangle out on an angle with a Nestability die. I didn't emboss it. I layered it on some designer paper with daisies. This paper is old, had it for years so I'm sorry I can't tell you who made it. It just fit this project perfectly. The little birds are colored with Copic markers (B02, B24, Y13, YR15). Their little cheeks are made with a chalk and white glaze pen for the dot. This panel is tied onto the bucket. I decided against adhesive due to the angle of the bucket. I figured it'd be a fight to get it to stick well at that angle. The little sentiment tag I printed off myself. I just crossed out the word "don't" with a marker. I added some bows and voila...cute little sack of bird seed! Please be sure to check out the Angel's Landing Blog to see what the rest of the designers came up with! You won't be disappointed!
