One bee-u-tiful card
This card is for this week's MoJo Sketch Challenge. I love the dark gold color and am really happy with how this card came together. I used their sketch, the bee and hive from Whimsy Stamps, paper from Stampin Up. The ribbon was a gift, but since it was bright yellow I colored it darker with a Copic! I hand wrote the sentiment...just thought to myself why not hehe. The hive is layered with tiny pieces of dimensional adhesive. I didnt' have any Crystal Effects that was honey colored, so I added a tiny bit of gold re-inker to some and voila! I have honey hehe. It worked like a charm. The honeycomb-ish pattern is from rubbing my stamp pad onto bubble wrap then pressing it onto my paper! Handy trick for all those "bee" related paper projects! I also added some tiny black dots for the bee's eyes...think I found them in the doll making section of Hobby Lobby. Have a great day!
