Flower Bud pin

This little beauty is from a domino and a little flower stamp from Dog Gone Stamps. I stamped the image in black Staz On ink, then colored it in with a copic very carefully as they do bleed with this ink. I topped it with Crystal Effects for the shine. The ribbon is by Stampin Up and just glued around the edge with Scotch quick dry adhesive, awesome glue!!! I fastened the pin on the back with the same glue! Hope you like it.

Just a note

This is a nifty little holder for the large sticky note pads. The image is a Whiff of Joy, Willow. The paper is out of my stash and I've had it for ages so unfortunately I have not a clue where it's from or who made it hehe. I am using this project for a couple projects at Stampin Out Alzheimer's.

Exciting news to share!

This awesome digital stamp site just announced their first design team and I'm thrilled to announce I was selected! They have the coolest flowers!!! Here's a link.

Happy bright birthday card!

This bright cheerful birthday card was for a challenge at Stamp Something. I used their sketch, Dustin Pike's wonderful digital images and copic markers. The "Celebrate" sentiment (Stampin Up) is stamped with the Versamark stamp pad that's sparkly! The other sentiment is by Stampendous. Have a great day!

Flower Box

I used this beautiful flower box for a Flower Soft challenge at Stampin Out Alzheimers. I colored it with copics and added Fuchsia Flower Soft and some sticky pearls. The top bow is painted with Twinkling H20's in purple sage. They have awesome challenges over at SOA!!! Check it out!

This Little Piggy

This cutie is for a Verve challenge at Stamp Out Alzheimers. If you haven't checked out their opportunities you really are missing out!

I'd rather be fishin

I made this card to participate in a challenge for the Stamp Out Alzheimer's event this week. It actually is for a couple of the challenges. For a donation of $5 you can do all sorts of neat challenges and win incredible prizes! The image is by The Greeting Farm. The sentiment is by me, in pencil. My card honors my Dear Dad who we lost a few years ago. He loved to fish and the sentiment I used was on his car tag. I thought it was really cute in kid writing in pencil hehe. I used copics to color the boy and the fishing lines and hook are all wire.

Something to brighten this rainy day in Kansas!

I received this exciting news today! I am tickled pink! You can see their cute digital images here.

Elegant Rose

This beautiful stamp is from I Brake for Stamps (link to it here). I was thrilled with how it turned out. I colored it with my copic markers then highlighted it here and there with twinkling h2o's in ruby red. I added a thin line of crystal effects on the black lines. The black mulberry paper is sprayed with gold glimmer mist. The background paper is a soft gold shimmery paper, but it didn't photograph well.

Birthday Cupcake Card

This is for the MoJo Monday sketch challenge for May 25th. The stamp is from Stamps and Smiles, the paper from Creative Imaginations. I used twinkling h2o's on the cupcake top to make it sparkle. The border punch is by Martha Stewart. He's a cutie!

Project Tuesday Accordion Book

Happy Tuesday Everyone! This is my first official submission for Project Tuesday at Stamps and Smiles! I'm thrilled and nervous all at the same time! The challenge this week is an accordion book. All the details on how to make one are on the Project Tuesday blog (linked above). I promise it's easier than it looks! I used digital stamps from Dustin Pike for my images. They are colored with copic markers and a little Crystal Effects gives them a little shine. The sentiments are from the Changito line at Stampendous. The cool tropical paper is by Debbie Mumm (love her fabric too!!!). To tie it up I grabbed some jute and a couple large eyelits and voila!
Hope you enjoy my first official contribution to this awesome site! I'm absolutely honored to be chosen and look forward to lots of fun challenges!

Tilda swings with her friends

Oh what fun this one was! I used the swing twice, so I had extra branch to make her sit on the actual branch rather than a board. I cut and pasted most of the second branch to give it more umph. The little birds are also Magnolia stamps...they just fit the bill here (so to speak hehe). I made this image for a sketch challenge at Stamps and Smiles, the Fresh Batch (link is here). I have some of their cute stuff on the way so next time I can do their challenge with some of those cute cupcakes! Hope you enjoy my little scene! HUGS!

Girlfriends

These little ladies are images I received in an image swap. They are called Sugar Nellies and can be found here. They are colored in with Copic markers. The flowers are Primas and centers are Dew Drops. The little sparkly pink circles with holes are from Stampin Bella. This is a card I made for this week's Viva La Verve sketch challenge over at Split Coast (link is here). I thought it was a fun one! Hope you have a great weekend!

Spot of Tea Anyone?

I have recently become a tea freak! I love the Republic of Tea stuff and this cute little package was in the last catalog they sent me. I have no clue how it tastes hehe. I wanted to make the "peek a boo" package for the Project Tuesday Challenge at Stamps and Smiles. I didn't want to do a candy holder, I needed something I could stick in the mail to my Aunt ASAP! It seems I haven't been keeping her mailbox full hehe. I typically chop all my 12x12 paper into 6" squares so it's handy to me, but I found this pretty sparkly blue/ green stuff in a pile on my counter. It did the trick! The little cup is by Stampin Up. Hope my Aunt likes it!!! Have a great day~!

Girlie Girl Card

This lil lady is a birthday card for my niece Kari. She likes to make cards too so there is a special gift card inside for her to go shopping with! I did this particular sketch for a challenge Charmaine is hosting here. The image is a digital image from the Greeting Farm. Thanks for looking!

A Knight in his armor

This was a tough sketch for me. It's from Mojo Monday and I love their sketches! These stamps are all from Whiff of Joy's Medieval Collection. I'm a total sucker for anything like this lol. Have a great evening!

Digi-stamp swap I'm hosting

I'm hosting a digital stamp swap over at Splitcoast Stampers! If you'd like to join here's a link to all the details!

Circus Dreams

I just adore this pair of elephants. They are from Dog Gone Stamps. They are relaxing on the comfy couch dreaming of the circus. The couch is by Alota Stamps. The circus poster is just printed out from online. The speech bubble is a sticker with "Dream" stamped inside it with Staz on. I colored the elephants with my Prismacolor and Copic markers. I hope you like this as much as I do.

Nurses prayer

I made this little beauty for my sister Shannon. She's a nurse and I thought it was just so sweet. The image is by Greeting Farm and I received it in an image swap (just LOVE those!). I colored her with my copic markers and the paper is the poppy line I picked up at Michael's (sorry can't remember the company). I found the poem online. The sketch is from Stamps and Smiles Fresh Batch sketch challenge #15 (link is here). I love just grabbing a sketch, an image and seeing how it ends up!
Thanks for looking!

Simple, Elegant, classy!

I made the top card for a Stamp Something challenge. The bottom card is what I used as my inspiration. It is designed by Lauren who is being honored this week. The stamps are all Stampin Up. I used the quotation from Echoes of Kindness, the flower from Fifth Avenue Floral, and the leaf from Itty Bitty Buds. The flowers are colored with Copics. I added crystal effects in thin lines to give the flowers some definition and the centers have Stickles in black diamond.
Have a great evening!

Soft yellow roses

These flowers are one of those mistakes that end up really pretty! I was trying a technique that failed miserably, so I tweeked it a bit and made it work for me! Hope you enjoy it!

Supplies:
White Shimmery paper, Stampin Up
Fifth Ave. Floral stamp set, Stampin Up
White craft stamp pad, Stampin Up (any embossing ink would work fine)
clear embossing powder
paint brush
water
Stampin Up re-inkers-Blush Blossom, Barely Banana, and Apricot Appeal
Glimmer Mist-Gold
Stampin Up Card stock- Barely Banana, Blush Blossom
Gold metallic paper
Sentiment stamp- I Brake for Stamps #900 Helen Keller quote (Sale going on right now link is here)
Gold stamp pad for sentiment-Brilliance Galaxy Gold

Procedure:
Emboss the flowers on the white shimmery paper. Watercolor them with the reinkers as desired. Let them dry and carefully cut them out. Lightly spray the card base of barely banana with gold glimmer mist. Mount the flowers on the base. Stamp the sentiment in gold on the top left corner. Mount this entire piece onto a metallic gold, trimming closely. Mount this on a sheet or card of Blush Blossom.
