New Home Card

I am hoping this is done in time for the Copic Creations and Magnolia Down Under Challenges this week! We were to use 1. evergreen/pine trees/branches and 2. use a Magnolia for a use that it wasn't originally intended. I used this Valentine Tilda for a New home card :) Hope you like it! I had so much fun creating this today!

Stamps and Smiles, The Fresh Batch Sketch Challenge #46

I wanted a new twist on a New Year's Card for this sketch. I drew my inspiration from this pretty Basic Grey paper. My sweet cupcake is from "Cuppy's Winter Wonderland". The cupcake is sparkly from a clear Spica marker. Please be sure you stop by TFB blog and see everyone's wonderful takes on this sketch! It's amazing the different cards that come from the same sketch. We'd love for you to play along with us too!

Mo's Digital Challenge #12 "New Beginnings"

This week for "new beginnings" I couldn't resist a new year's card. I used this wonderful image from Mo to create a window card with confetti. The paper is all digital paper I printed out. The "2010" is printed off from my computer. I hope you find some inspiration from our team for this week's challenge! Be sure to check it all out at Mo's Challenge.

Victoria Case Sketch Challenge

I used teal and orange papers for this challenge. The image is of course Victoria Case's. The sketch is what they gave us this week to use. I colored her with Copic markers and a little Spica Marker and paper glaze for her wings. You can see all about the challenge here. It was so fun creating a couple of cards just for challenges today!

Finally back to doing challenges!

I've been so swamped with holiday things that I have had no time to do any challenges for about a month! I love them so it's very nice to be able to get back into the swing of things. I have two to share with you all today. This one is for Cute Card Thursday...we were challenged to create a New Year's Card. My little new year baby is by Whipper Snapper. The numbers are printed from my pc. I colored the numbers and baby's hat with Smooch then topped it with Paper Glaze for a nice shine. Thanks for letting me share it with you!

Paperworks Co.-Charlotte's Holiday Mail

This is my second project for PWCO. This adorable little lady is Charlotte. You can see a variety of images with her here. I love using images that have snow involved...whether it be sparkly, shiny, or puffy. To make the falling snowflakes stand out I used the colorless blender ( 0 ) around each. This bleached out the blue color a bit and make the flakes pop out! The snow on the card is topped with a squirt fabric paint in white then the flaky glitter. We're experiencing a blizzard this week in Kansas, so this is exactly what my mail box is looking like! Have a wonderful day!

Materials List:

Stamp-Charlotte's Holiday Mail

Paper-Prism Simply Smooth Cardstock, Basic Grey Plaid (Eskimo Kisses pad)

Copic markers-E000, E00, B21, R29, R39, RV32, RV34, Y21, YR23, C3, C5, V15, V17, E35, E37, 100

Stamps and Smiles, Project Tuesday-Pull Out Scrapbook

What a cute little book! I am not a scrapbooker, so please excuse my bare pages, but this is still a really neat project! I used the digi stamp from Stamps and Smiles of the gingerbread house. It's covered with Tulip fabric paint that is filled with baubles from Stamping Bella. I wanted it to really look like candy and this did the job well! My papers are from My Mind's Eye Christmas Stack. The tutorial for this project can be found here. Please check out the wonderful samples from the designers on the PT blog! I look forward to seeing what you create!

My 2009 Christmas Card

I wanted to share what I made for 80 friends and family. This is a digital image from Mo's Digital Pencil that I worked with in Photoshop. I added more sheep and placed the animals behind and in front of Mary and Joseph. The detail shot shows the flocking on the sheep (for 80 cards with 3 sheep each....that is LOTS of flocking hehe).
I'm also entering this in the All that Scraps Weds. Challenge. You were to use a nativity scene in your card.
Just wanted to share it with you all as well!

Squigglefly Guest Design, final project

I have been honored to create for Squigglefly over this past month. I hope you have taken a minute or two to stop by and see the HUGE variety of digi stamps they offer! I love this deer image and didn't get a chance to use it for a Christmas card. I do have a need for some Christmas thank you's though! I love post cards too so I put the two together. It's a jumbo post card, but could be made smaller of course. The post card stamp is by Victorine Originals, but there are lots of them out there. Thanks for letting me share it with you.

Now Designing for...

This has been the hardest secret to keep! I am thrilled to be creating projects with this wonderful line of stamps from Canada. I hope you will enjoy my work and continue to find inspiration! Here's my first PWCO project to share with you!

This being my first project for PWCO I couldn't resist a holiday image, even though Christmas has passed. I love the detail on this with the sparkly lights! I made this a panel card with a mini card on the top. I think it's fun to create different sizes and folds on cards!

Thanks for letting me share this with you. I look forward to creating and sharing PWCO projects with you!

Materials List:

Happy Holidays!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. We have been snowed in since the 24th! We just today were able to get out and celebrate Christmas with my Mom who only lives a block or two away! My husband's family all came yesterday, but had to park up the hill and walk down to our house in all the huge drifts of snow! It's been crazy! Thankfully we have not lost power through all this mess. We were happy to get out an about today. The snowplow finally found it's way to our street.
I am anxious to get back to stamping now that the holiday things are settling down. I had this sweet Santa card (Magnolia stamp) that I don't think I'd posted yet so wanted to share it with you and wish you all happy holidays. He's a sweet image that I paper pieced with burgandy velvet paper! Love the rich texture it has.
Thanks for letting me share it with you!

Stamps and Smiles, Project Tuesday-A2 Card Box

This would make a wonderful gift for someone, filled with pretty hand made creations for them to use throughout the year! The tutorial for this nifty box can be found here. I used Magnolia stamps for both the box and the card. The holly paper is Martha Stewart. The card's designer paper is Stampin Up, as is the brown stitched ribbon.
Please be sure you link up your own creation for us to see at the Project Tuesday blog! We won't want to miss out! You will also want to check out all the inspiration we have for you there.

House Mouse Challenge #59 "Winter Wishes"

I am thoroughly enjoying my work for the HMCDT! This precious image is a new fav of mine. I colored the image with Copics then wanted a more "wintery" feel so I splattered it with white ink (calligraphy ink actually). I even decorated my keyboard...lol oh well. I added some tiny pearls (from Bunny Zoe's). The glow of the candle is from a few shades of yellow chalk. I used trim from Hobby Lobby's lace selection (by the yard stuff) for the frame. The bow is some old Stampin Up ribbon that was my most favorite! They got rid of it and I'm still sad! I left my ribbon tails long and used dots to stick the ribbon to the card here and there. I hope you enjoy my wintery card! Have a wonderful holiday and I look forward to seeing your creations for this challenge! The HMC Blog can be found here to play along.

Stamps and Smiles, The Fresh Batch Sketch #45

This is my card for TFB sketch this week. I used a digi stamp from Stamps and Smiles to create this snowflake/cupcake creation! I love the light blues and purples together. I added some sticky gems for even more shimmer. Please be sure you check out the design team's samples for this sketch! You can see them all here and play along too!

Mo's Digital Challenge #11

I am so happy with how this project turned out! I give full credit for my inspiration to my friend Kerry. See her sample here that got me started. I found my block and stand at Hobby Lobby for a total of about $10. Not too shabby! I used some neat diamonds on the corners of the image for some added sparkle. I found them in the wedding dept at Hobby Lobby. They are little diamonds in settings with a wire like stem. I cut off the stem and mounted them with some extra sticky dimensional adhesive. My pretty angel is Mo's of course (Sending Peace). I used all light blues, grays and silver to color her. The shimmer is from glaze pens.
This is my take on Mo's Challenge this week! We were challenged to use only color on the image, but white on the rest of our project. Please be sure you stop by the Challenge Blog to see all the wonderful design team samples and join in!

Angel's Landing Ornaments

I am so excited to share these with you all! I had so much fun with them and love how they turned out! I found the tutorial to make them here. I had the 1 1/2" glass slides on hand so that was wonderful! I found mine at Michael's. They come in numerous sizes and shapes so there's lots of options when creating your own!
The top one is created with the little chick from the Ho Ho Hollydays set and the bottom one is from Penguin Chicks, both from Angel's Landing. I sized them to fit into the 1 1/2 inch pieces of glass. They are both colored with Copics. I added some sparkle to the penguin with a Spica pen.
This project concludes my term as a design team member for Angel's Landing. I have enjoyed it a great deal and hope you have found some inspiration from my work.
