Foxy

Hello everyone!

I am just in love with this line from Imaginisce. The little stamps run only $1.00. They have several coordinating papers too. I think the little fox is adorable and even found the bird yesterday! I haven't had a chance to play with the bird yet. I used watercolor pencils on the fox then cut the line between the body and tail to make the tail more distinctive. I put a pretty thick dimensional dot behind the little tail so it stands up from the card. The ears are just folded forward a little bit. I did learn a new trick when I was cutting this little fox out though...when you're done trimming it if you edge it with a sponge rubbed in brown (or black) it hides all of your little miniscule white pieces from where you trimmed it out. It makes your image look perfectly cut out! How bout that! My tip for the day hehe! Hope you like it!

Tilda Notepad for Pam

Hello Everyone!  I had to wait until Pam received her secret Valentine package before I could share this with all of you!  I nabbed a few of these little note pads (steno pad sized) at Target.  They are just nifty as there is a piece of elastic at the bottom for the pen to sit!  I love the pink/black/white color scheme...it's an easy one to work with.  The pen is easy to do too...it's all brown craft paper so I just used adhesive to put pretty designer paper on it then took a piece of the clear strong packaging tape and rolled it length wise to make it shiny!  I used a black stamp pad all around the cover edge to make it match as well.  The paper is from a new line I found at Michael's.  Sorry but I can't remember who is it by and it's all chopped up into nice squares now.  I used scraps of ribbon to tie at the top and the flowers are Prima (my FAV!).  I hope you enjoy looking at it! I know Pam loved it!

Tilda in Yellow

This little Tilda was a RAK I made for a sick little girl.  She's such a sweet pretty little thing.  I added coordinating ribbon to match the paper and then some mini buttons in the corners to jazz it up a bit.  She's painted with watercolor pencils.  Hope you like her.

Amy's Birthday Tilda

I hope you guys aren't sick of my obsession with this line of stamps!  I just have so much fun painting them and seeing what I end up with.  This card was for my son's sweet girlfriend Amy.  Her favorite color is teal.   I had the neat teal and purple paper and just went from there.  The flowers are prima with Bella Baubles for centers and the sentiment is a little rub on.  I did cut the balloons out and used wire for their strings so they are entirely separate. Thanks for looking!

Happy New Year!!!

Hello Everyone!  I hope 2009 is off to a wonderful start for all of you!  I apologize for not sharing my work of late.  I had computer issues and then couldn't find my photoediting software for my new pc!  I'm all situated now and promise to do better.  I'll share some of what I've been working on with you!
The notepad was a Christmas gift I made for my mom.  Tilda is from the Magnolia line.  I am still crazy about those stamps!  There is a pen at the bottom that I embossed with clear EP.  I apologize for the poor scan!  It's much cuter in real life

The cute little purple birthday girl was for my sister in law, Jennifer.  She is a K-state fan and I had found some KSU stickers to fix up her little Tilda just right.  I love the background "happy birthday song" paper.  I added more purple to this paper with pastels.
Finally for today...this Tilda was my contribution to my Magnolialicious group's December card rain.  I used the Party Tilda but twisted it up to be a new year party rather than birthday.  I love the sparkle on this card!  I stamped the sentiment on a strip of vellum and simply taped it to the back of the image.  Don't you just love her little shoes hehe.
Hope you enjoyed seeing some of what I've been up to!  Have a wonderful day!

Tilda with a Rose

Hello Everyone~  as you all know I'm crazy about the Magnolia line.  This is a new little girl I received this past week from their "Pink Collection".  I had such fun creating this one.  I used the SU scallop to edge the base paper, which is a shimmery ivory paper.  I can't remember where I got this shimmer paper sorry.  The corner punch is a scallop 2 part punch by Paper Shapers.  I stamped her dress on shimmery pink paper, then cut and pasted it on top of the original image.  This is a fun way to add some dimension to your piece.  Her little wing is a shimmery piece of vellum.  I used watercolor pencils for the rest of her.  I also used a few buttons.  I just think she's precious....hope you do too!

Hey Bella It's Cold Outside!

I am sorry it's been so long since I've posted.  I had foot surgery to remove a heel spur (and phew what a doozie) and have been dealing with that the past few weeks.  I am healing well, but still have stitches and am not allowed to drive.  I'm hoping this changes next week!!!!!  Thanks for all my wonderful yahoo group friends who've sent me wonderful get well cards and emails!
So since it's getting chilly out I decided to play with this cute little Bella who's got to be freezing her patootie off in this outfit!  I found these gorgeous sparkly snowflakes at Michaels this week!  They are by Me and My BIG Ideas.  They were my initial inspiration.  I used the cuttlebug embossing folder for the snowflake background panel.  I used watercolor pencils for the Bella but added some white flocking on her coat and boot to add a touch of fluff:)  Hope you enjoy her and that you're dressed more warmly for these chilly days hehe.

Stormy Night

This card is a couple techniques.  I used the reflection technique to do the trees (Lovely as a Tree, SU).  It's pretty simple really...you stamp your main image on your white cs.  You stamp it again on a baggie (avoid the creases).  You flip your baggie over and press the image (reversed) onto your paper.  It's pretty cool.  I used Night of Navy for the trees.  I sponged the entire sheet (other than the ground) with Baja Breeze.  I used a ripped piece of cs for a mask and sponged upward, moving the mask, with Night of Navy.  I sponged the ground under the trees with Handsome Hunter.  I went over the center areas with Night of Navy again to blend the colors more and add depth.  That's it:)  Not too tough was it!  Hope you enjoy!

A Few Tilda's

I apologize for being sooo busy lately that I haven't had a chance to post anything!  It seems all I do is drive kids places hehe.  Here are a couple special birthday cards I made for friends,.  I used watercolor pencils for the images and various designer paper, Bella Baubles, and flowers to dress them up.  Hope you enjoy and I will try to get some more projects shared with you!

Kind card of caring

A kind lady named Cammie is giving away the most GINORMOUS blog candy in honor of her Grandmother and World Alzheimer's Day.  She lost her to Alzheimers and is asking for card makers to send out cards in her honor.  This is my contribution.  I am always touched by those who care for others.  Please see her blog here to learn more and participate.
