Tilda Birthday Card x2

I had to post two pictures of this cute  lil girl.  The photo on the left had the good color but the silly tag was in the way.  So I did a scan to show you how it looks when it is in the right place and more of the detail.  I painted her with watercolor pencils and used paper for her little dress.  I added sticky pearls to throw in some sparkle!  She is from the Magnolia line of stamps...I sooooooooo love them!!!! Hope you enjoy her~

Bella Calendar pages and Cosmobella Card

These are a few of the calendar pages I made for my Bellaholic's group Calendar swap.  I have had so much fun making them!  I have heard wonderful things about the 2008 version so I can't wait to see how these turn out!
I also made this Cosmobella card for a swap.  I really like how the ribbon compliments the paper!
So see I've been busy!  Just too busy hauling kids to get anything posted...hope you enjoy these~

Corset Wishes

I adore this stamp and the set is just as cute!  It's by Pink Cat Studio
http://www.pinkcatstudio.com/  The inside of the card has fuzzy slippers and a birthday sentiment.  The scan didn't really show the color very well, it's Pink Passion (SU).  Hope you guys think it's cute!

Lucky Asian

This card is made out of a Men's Lucky Cologne box! I thought the dragon was really cool so I used it for the main image and added the bottom sentiment (Artfully Asian SU) and the Asian letter/phrase (I have NO clue). I like taking things that aren't typically used and make them into a cool card! Hope you like it too!

Best Friends.

This is a Stamping Bella image I was lucky to receive in an image swap.  The two girls remind me of my daughter and her best friend. I colored them with watercolor pencils.  Their wings are painted with twinkling h2o's.  The paper is Kaisercraft-Playtime. The rub on  and corner punch is Stampin Up.  The baubles are Stamping Bella.  Have a great day!

Pink Cow Has a Birthday!

This adorable little cow card is for my dear Aunt Judy.  She and I have this thing...she hates cows so I send her all sorts of cow things!  Yes I'm ornery but she loves it!  My friend Judi was so sweet and shared some cow images with me (I know it's hard to believe there is a stamp I have none of LOL).  This one just fit perfectly!  I colored the image with prismacolor pencils.  I thought the cow needed to stand out more so I used black flocking on her. I hope Aunt Judy enjoys it hehe.  Thanks for looking.

Wild Rose in Red

I love red! It's not always an easy color to work with though. I used Stampin Up's Wild Rose set (retired) and some of the gorgeous new In Color colors! The flowers are Riding Hood red accented with Brilliance's Pearlescent poppy. The leaves are Kiwi kiss. I used a rub on for the sentiment. I was not using this set for the LONGEST time because I had such problems getting the second stamp just right over the first. I started using EZ Mount and ripped my two step stamps off their wood blocks and now find two step stamping a breeze and am having fun using some older sets that I struggled with before! EZ Mount is cheap ($4.50 per 81/2x 11 sheet). If you aren't familiar with it, it is a piece of foamy rubberish stuff. One side is sticky and the other side is clingy. You can mount your stamps on it and use clear acrylic blocks to do your stamping. I know some people are just crazy for the wood, but this was a perfect solution to my problem! I've also used the stampamagig, but this mounting process is just easier for me. Hope you like my card!

Bellas in brown

I know it sounds ugly but I think they turned out cute and different! I love using the craft paper and thought it'd be fun to just go with a monochromatic look on this. It reminds me of an old photograph. I used the Stampin Up set Express Yourself (retired) and the Javabellas. I made the dot background frame with my Cuttlebug and dots embossing folder. I cut out a little coffee cup and added it to the ribbon as a tie on. The image is colored with brown watercolor pencils. I have had that ribbon forever and can't recall where I grabbed it. I thought it worked well for this. Hope you like them!

Blog gets a new look!

Well I wanted a new look for my blog...something more "spiffy". I hope you like the new look and find something new you hadn't seen before. I changed how I list the blogs I prowl and those stores that seem to take all my money! If you'd like me to add you to my blog list drop me an email at Busysewin@cox.net and I'll add you! I love having a list of sites I can just hit when I need inspiration! I am thinking about a new header yet, so I'm not entirely done with the changes. I can't decide whether I want to bribe my son into creating one for me or go with a nifty photo. We'll see!! Hope you are all enjoying your week!

On the fence...

I am just in love with this adorable line of stamps! This is one I received in an image exchange. I painted the image with watercolor pencils (Aquarelle). I added the dots using a stylus..the ink is Bombay white india ink. I sponged a little blue around the edges. I painted her wings sparkly white with Twinkling H2o's. The sentiment is a rub on and the ribbon is red gingham. I have had the precut card for ages and can't remember where it came from. They came in a package of 10 or so...probably Hobby Lobby. I really like the scallop edge. These stamps are Magnolias and from the Netherlands. Diana Crick (Scor-pal) will have them available (US Shipping) in the near future. Hope you like it!

Asian Floral

I had never really enjoyed the Asian style stamps....I signed up to do a SWAP for my Card Cafe' group. Well...I found out they are really cool and fun to mess around with. The base image of this one (under the vellum) was an experiment I did and almost tossed into the trash! The stamp is one big piece, found it at Michaels. I stamped it in black on white paper. I colored the dress and flowers with prismacolor pencils. I then colored over all that with my Versamark pen and clear embossed it entirely. To get the cool blues in my background I sponged different shades in a wiping motion. I then used a paper towel to clear off the spots where I'd clear embossed so they were their original color again and not blue. I stamped the dogwood floral stamp on a vellum piece with black staz on. Then on the BACK I added the red to the flowers with a regular colored pencil. I turned the vellum back over and added the black detailing and more length to the floral piece with a Black jelly glaze pen. A couple shiny mini black brads and a black frame and voila...a cool card! Who knew!
I want to thank all the wonderful friends of Card Cafe' for voting this their COTM for August! I'm very honored and appreciate their admiration greatly!
