Just Bee Cute

This image is from All That Scraps. Isn't she a cutie? I am really liking their digital images! I created this for Cute Card Thursday's Challenge #79. We were to use black and yellow. I didn't feel like doing a regular bee card so this is what I came up with! Her wings are sparkly, it didn't photograph well, from a black Spica marker. Hope you enjoy it!

SpOOky Halloween House

This card is one I made just for fun! The house image is from I Brake for Stamps. Here's a link. I used Copic markers to color the ho use. I used the Martha Stewart Drippy Goo border punch to do the bottom border, topped with green stickles of course! I think the ribbon and embellishment made it a little cuter than spooky hehe. Hope you enjoy it!

Monsters Three Skateboarding Weeeeeeeeeeeeee

These cute little boarders are from Victoria Case Designs. I made this card for this week's VC Challenge. I love her designs! I think these are triple trouble hehe.

Sweet Train for Baby

I adore these cute little Angel's Landing critters! You can see them here. I wanted to make a card that would use all three cars of the train and still be a single piece of paper. I think the patchwork squares are a neat effect. This paper is all from Martha Stewart. I used Copic's to color the images. The train wheels are punched out of thin chipboard then covered with dp. The sheep is covered with white fun flock. I used thick glue to give it more dimension and make it look curly. The bunny tail is a pink pom pon. This week was "wild card" week so each designer went wild with their creation! Be sure to stop by the Angel's Landing blog and see what they came up with!

A Grand Soiree

I've been thinking about how to color this image for awhile now. I wanted it to be dramatic and I think the red accomplished that. This image is from Mo's Digital Pencil. She's an incredible artist and I'm crazy for her images! She's a children's book illustrator and I'm a former teacher, maybe that is what hooks me. I'm just astounded at her talent. Anyway....I had such fun with this. I used Copics to color the image. The chandelier and sentiment are from a Stampin Up set. I added some sticky red gems to the chandelier to give it more sparkle. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did!
Have a great day!

Candy Gift Card

This is the perfect solution for those little one's you care about, but can't be with them on Halloween! Send them a gift card for candy! This project has a tutorial here. I also have a link of a clean template here that I made from the tutorial. You can print the template I copied directly onto your card stock or make a pattern and trace it. I will warn you that Internet Explorer has issues with the download of it sometimes (try Firefox if it does). I used the set Pumpkin Face from The Rubber Cafe' for the cover band and inside art. Hope you like the idea!

Here's what I used:

Stamps- Pumpkin Face, The Rubber Cafe'
Copic Markers-YR04, YR18, G99, YG63, E35
Stamp Pads-black Adirondak
Card Stock-white, dark purple, dark yellow
Designer paper-K and Co. Reversible Sparkly Candy
Misc Supplies-
Folded envelope template and tutorial (links above)
2 scalloped square punches

Project Tuesday-S'mores Jars

These are almost as tasty as they are cute! Hop over to Project Tuesday for the link's to the specifics. They are full of the goodies to make a batch of s'mores bar cookies. You can either chop up the marshmallow shapes or leave them as is on top. Cute Halloween gift for special teachers and neighbors!!!

I'm really loving the digistamps from All that Scraps! This cutie is another! This card is for a couple challenges that I'll list below. I used the Martha Stewart Hydrangea punches for the flowers and am really thrilled with them! I have a hunch you'll be seeing lots more of them! Hope you enjoy my card!

The Fresh Batch Sketch #34

OK so this is a little odd you say...how would I use this? It would be PERFECT to put over a plate full of cookies for a new neighbor, or to celebrate a new home, or to wish someone well on a move! I made this for this week's Fresh Batch Sketch. I used my little swirly punch for the edges instead of petals. The set is Cuppy Land from Stamps and Smiles. I really love those little houses! Be sure to stop by and see the rest of the team's take on this fun sketch!

Pretty Fall Greeting

I want to thank everyone for stopping by on the Angel's Landing Blog hop last week! I greatly appreciate all your sweet comments! The winner of my blog candy was Patricia St. Martin! Now on to this week's fun!
I haven't done the cracked glass technique before, but this dp was just begging me to! I used one of the new releases "Autumn Tweetings" from Angel's Landing. I love creating with those gorgeous birds! The soft yellow background is Prismacolor pencil blended with OMS. I colored the rest of the image with Copic's. To get the cool cracked look I embossed it several times with UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel)...just a thick clear embossing powder. When thick enough I put it in the fridge to get really cold. I took it from the fridge and then crack it as desired. I sprayed and sponged distress ink over top to get into the little cracks and make it look really old. Fun technique, but a bit messy! This card follows the Angel's Landing 4 way sketch for this week. Hop on over to the Angel's Landing Blog and see what the rest of the designers came up with! I'm sure you won't be sorry!

A-round Halloween Greeting

WOW I know you're thinking 5 is a lot of pictures! I agree, but I wanted to show you every side of this project! This is called a circle flip up book. I found the tutorial here. I will not kid you, this was a time consuming project. I did enjoy it though, and think it turned out neat! This is another one of those projects that allows for so many different variations on it.
Here's what I used:

Stamps:
All from The Rubber Cafe'-
Trick or Treat set
You Shake my Bones
Pumpkin Face set

Supplies:
Circle Flip Up tutorial (Link above)
Copic markers-E35, YR15, YG63
Stamp Pads-black Adirondak, Gray
Card stock-white, dark purple, black, gray green
Designer paper- K and Co. Specialty pad
Misc supplies-
1 1/4" circle punch
black satin ribbon

I hope you think it turned out as cute as I do!

Project Tuesday-Box in a bag

These make the cutest gift sacks! You can whip them up really quick too! Here's a link to the tutorial. I had to make two...couldn't choose just one paper to play with hehe. The paper is Anna Griffin Peyton Collection. I did use a satin ribbon on the base edges instead of a border punched strip. I just thought it was pretty! Be sure to stop by Project Tuesday to see what the DT came up with for this!

Halloween Couple

As you all know I love Halloween. I had so much fun making this card this weekend! I love the colors, patterns, ribbon and images! I'm using it for a number of challenges I'll just list below. The images are Magnolia's. Please check out her cute little spider. I made the string and legs from wire and it's hard to photograph well. Hope you like this one as much as I do!

Challenges this card is for:
Flourishes-Mix it Up
Friday Sketchers- Sketch #70
Stamp Something-Favorite colors/papers

It's all about the pumpkins

This is one of the Just Rite oval stamps. I just grabbed these yesterday and they are fun! I am not having much luck cutting them out with my Nesties though...gonna hunt for an oval hand held punch! I tried taping it to keep it from moving as I run it through the machine, but it still slips. Oh well...
I made this card for the Shirley's 2 Girls challenge. We were to use their sketch plus a Halloween embellishment.

Hidden Fall Gifts

This surprise gift card holder is super easy and a neat way to send candy to those long distance trick or treaters you love. Here's a link to the tutorial. This image is a digital stamp from Dustin Pike. I love his stuff! This cute little project is also for a couple challenges...shocked I know hehe. The Digital Tuesday Challenge this week is to make a clean and simple fall card. The Cute Card Thursday Challenge is to have hidden treasure in your card. This little project does that handily!

Give a hoot!

I love using craft paper! I was excited to find a cool designer paper to go with it. This adorable owl is from Whimsy Stamps. They have a whole new layout at the store so be sure to stop by and check it out! Ann worked really hard on it and it's gorgeous! The Whimsy Challenge this week was to use fall colors. I think I accomplished that here hehe. I love the fall colors so that's never hard for me to enjoy doing. I'm also using this card for the Midnight Madness challenge this week. Have a great Sunday!

Simple Fall Leaves

I am really enjoying the new Crackle Accents stuff! I used it on these chipboard leaves. I purchased them pre-cut from my LSS. I colored them with a Copic in gold and dark orange. I covered the top of each leaf with the Crystal Accents then using a toothpick added small dots of color from a re-inker of dark yellow and rust. I swirled the color around and let them dry. They did not crackle much this time. I'm wondering if it's due to the thickness. I'm still happy with them though. This card is for this week's challenge at MoJo Monday #104. Hope you like it!

Mice like treats too!

This little House Mouse card is for a few challenges this week. I just LOVE the House Mouse stamps and I love fall colors so this was wonderful to work on. The first is the House Mouse Challenge #52. We were to use our favorite of their challenges from the past year of theirs. I combined #8 Halloween and #25 this sketch to create my card. It is also for Simon Says Stamp this week. We were to use 3 embellishments, 2 papers, and 1 image. Hope you enjoy my card!

Berry berry quite contrary

This is my first inking of my new set from Flourishes! I am loving their stuff! I promise you'll see more soon! This cute little card is for the sketch at 2 Sketches 4 You this week. I was thrilled to have a stamp match this cute paper. This is my first time with their challenge. I think I'll be liking them!
