Stamps and Smiles Sketch (SASSC28)

Ok I admit, I probably took a different spin on this sketch than most lol. I was at Michael's and the beautiful fall flowers are all in...this one just grabbed me and said it would be fun to turn into a card for this project! I think it was two bucks and I am thrilled with how it turned out! It's a perfect "Happy New Home" card. I took the stem and center of the flower off so all I had left was the petals. I think there's three layers!!! I cut a circle with a Nestie and ran it through the reptile like Cuttlebug embossing folder...this turned out way cooler than I guessed it would! I stuck this circle down with the dimensional dots that are extra sticky! I had never paper pieced with my Stamps and Smiles stamps, nor did I have any way to match the beautiful coloring of the flower itself...so I paper pieced the entire house! I did color the door. This stamp is from the Cuppyland set { link }. The cute yellow top is actually a button, but man did it work or what??? I have always loved the look of the stick pins on cards and finally today I found a perfect card for some in my stash! This was really fun :) Please be sure to stop by the Fresh Batch blog and check out everyone's gorgeous takes on this sketch!
