I know this is in know way related to my art, but since it's close to my heart I'm sharing.  This photo is of my sweet dog Maggie.  She left us yesterday to go and be pain free and happy again.  She's not been in good health for some time.  My hopes are that she's in heaven with my dad, who was always her favorite person to rub her belly.  She will be terribly missed by my family and our other dog Missie.

  1. oh, so sad!! But I am so glad she is now pain free and with your dad!!!

  2. Hi Lisa - I'm so sorry you lost your sweet Maggie. She was beautiful! I wish I could say it gets easier to live without our best friends - but it doesn't. I lost the dog we had as a child several years ago and it feels like yesterday everytime I think about her. I just hope that you can remember her wonderful life and be comforted by knowing she's with your Dad and no longer in pain. Hugs to you!

  3. I am so sorry you lost you so loved Maggie. It is not easy losing a pet. She will be in your heart forever! Hugs

  4. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Maggie. I to am the proud owner of a 11 year old Doxie. I do know that these animals are exceptionally faithful. Take faith in knowing that Maggie was loved by you. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. {Hugs}

  5. So sorry to hear of the loss of your family member, it is such a difficult transition. Blessings.

  6. Maybe Maggie will meet my little Pamela that passed on yesterday.

    It helps knowing they are not sick and in pain anymore.

    Thanks for sharing the sweet picture of Maggie.
    May they both rest in peace.

  7. Lisa I am so sorry. It's always hard to lose a furry family member. Know that she will be in your heart forever and you will never really lose her. Beautiful Maggie.

  8. Dear Lisa,
    I am so sorry you lost your sweet Maggie. I know she is in heaven with your dad and he is rubbing her belly like he used to. They will keep each other company.

  9. So sorry for your loss, this happened to us just before moving to the US so I know how you feel, it is so devastating. Just remember the good times you shared. Take care.

  10. Lisa, I am oh so sorry to hear about Maggie. I totally understand what you're going thru. We had e dogs, all around the same ages and they all passed away within a 4 month period. We are still learning to deal with it. Even tho Maggie is in Heaven with your Dad, just remember that you have her in your heart with all the wonderful memories of her.
    Take care,

  11. Oh Lisa,
