Where's Lisa Been?
I wanted to touch base with all of you and let you know why I've been MIA for a while. This may be a bit long :)
In November my Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. She's had surgery, they were able to remove it all and she'll begin radiation soon. We're thrilled to find she won't have to have chemo!
The same week as her diagnosis one of my sisters had a pulmonary embolism following a heart procedure. She's on blood thinners and doing much better after several days in ICU.
The week before Thanksgiving my daughter had her wisdom teeth removed without complication.
This past Weds. I had a hysterectomy and am home camping the couch with Tiffy! She's really digging this! I am feeling really good and thrilled things went well.
Sadly today my sister Jayme passed away after a valiant battle against lung cancer. Many of you helped me with a RAK event of frog cards for her a few months ago. Those cards meant so much to her. You'll never know what that did for her spirits during this long, difficult fight. I'm glad to know she's with our Dad and is smiling and laughing with him instead of suffering unimaginable pain from an evil disease.
I can't thank all my companies/challenges that I create for enough. Every single one of them have been incredibly supportive during this challenge time for me. I can't wait to get back to creating and sharing my work with blogland! Thanks for all of your support, emails, cards, and prayers. They mean so much to me and my family.
p.s. I plan to be posting regularly NO LATER THAN Jan. 1 and sooner if I feel up to it!!!
