VC Stamp Challenge #15

Reminder: My 30K hit blog candy event goes on thru 9/11 midnight cst, here's the link

Oh this one was just a riot to make. I love the monster's eyes and bright colors. The sketch is this week's VC Stamp Challenge. The images are all theirs as well. I used Copics to color them in, then added on the wiggle eyes. I used Dew Drops around the edge of the big green monster to spice it up a bit. I did intend for the bottom monster to be upside down...I think it's cute. Hope it makes you giggle too!

Feeling Fall

Reminder: My 30K hit blog candy event goes on thru 9/11 midnight cst, here's the link

Yes another sketch challenge I just couldn't resist! This one is from Flourishes, here's a link. I used a Whipper Snapper image for this. We were to go with a "feeling of fall". I dusted off my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol to color the image. I did add the Crackle Accents to the mailbox and pumpkins. I think they look cool with the cracked shiny glaze on them. Have a great afternoon!

Project Tuesday-Flower Pot Box

Reminder: My 30K hit blog candy event goes on thru 9/11 midnight cst, here's the link

This project will make a nice little gift! I simply printed the template { link } right onto my card stock (Natural Confetti, Stampin Up), cut it out, stamped my images, scored it and put it together. The images I used are Popcorn the Bear, "Thanks a Bunch". I used the scallop border punch (Stampin Up) on the top edges. The blue pieces are just little strips cut to lay on top of the template piece. Be sure to stop by Project Tuesday to see what the other Design Team members came up with for their flower pots! I am sure you won't want to miss that!
Happy Tuesday!

A teddy bear for Paige

Reminder: My 30K hit blog candy event goes on thru 9/11 midnight cst, here's the link

This card is for Paige. Erin (a Whimsy Design Team member) is having a card drive for her neighbor Paige who had a terrible accident. Here's the info Erin posted:

"Paige age 13, was in a serious boating accident a few weeks ago and just had part of her arm amputated. The doctors are working to save the rest, but are unsure how much they can do. Here is a link to the article that describes it more in detail. Included in the article it mentions they've run out of room for flowers and stuffed animals, but cards are welcome."

The above card is the one I'm sending Paige's way! This adorable bear is a digital image from Whimsy Stamps. Here's the info on how to get one of your very own!!!

From Whimsy Stamps Blog:
"Recently, Paige Welch, a young NH girl, was seriously injured in a boating accident. This child is the neighbor of our DT member Erin Bailey. Paige will be facing many months of recovery and many more medical bills. In an effort to help, Whimsy Stamps has designed a special digital image in honor of Paige. "A Teddy for Paige" is now available for download. All proceeds from the sale of this image will go to Paige's Account at Seacoast Credit Union in Exeter NH.
Erin is currently hosting a card drive and would love any cards you all would like to send to Paige to help lift her spirits and keep her going through this tough time.

We appreciate any help you can lend to this cause. Thank you! "

Bleached Halloween

Reminder: My 30K hit blog candy event goes on thru 9/11 midnight cst, here's the link

This card is such a different one for me. I admit it was really tempting to grab my white pen or chalks! I do think it looks really neat this way though. This is what happens when you brush liquid bleach directly onto your stamp then stamp on dark paper. I tried black, navy and dark purple. This was by far the coolest result. This stamp is from I Brake for Stamps and you can see it here. This sketch is from the first challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges. The no-coloring allowed is the challenge this week at Flourishes. The huge ric rack is from Hobby Lobby's Halloween selection. The little pumpkin button is a Doodlebug item. The striped paper is Stampin Up. I used a large circle and scalloped circle Nestie die to cut the image and frame. Hope you have a great day!

Scarecrow Welcomes Fall

I love everything about fall, the colors, the holidays, the crisp cool days. This card seems to wrap that all up for me. This image is from DZ Doodles and they are the host for this week's Copic Buzz Challenge. Super cute huh? I used the sketch from this week's Simon Says Challenge. I was tempted to put a Tilda in there, but thought this would be fun and different! Hope you like it!

Tilda and her two friends

Happy Sunday everyone! Please be sure to sign up for my blog candy. The link is in the note above.
This sweet little Tilda and her birdie friends is a card I made for two challenges. One was the Copic Creations challenge to use your favorite color combination. Mine is pink and green! The second challenge is this week's Stamp Something. We were to use our favorite stamp. That is no easy decision for this stamper I tell ya! I am very pleased with how it turned out though. I am very thrilled with the flowers since a friend Pam sent them to me! She's so sweet!!!!! Thanks Pam!

Oh I do love those House Mouse stamps! I have a collection I admit it! I made this card for a few challenges and to send to my sister Jayme. She continues her battle against lung cancer. She was to return to Houston this week for more scans. Thanks for keeping her in your prayers.
Anyway...I colored this little pair with Copic markers. The sketch I used is for this week's Midnight Madness challenge and House Mouse Monday challenge. Gotta love combining challenges! The inside sentiment is by Impression Obsession. Have a great Sunday

Kitty Costume for Candy Card

Reminder: My 30K hit blog candy event goes on thru 9/11 midnight cst, here's the link

This sweet little trick or treater is from Fred She Said Designs. I am a past designer, but that doesn't mean I'm done using her precious images! I'll even share the link to her with you! I colored her with Copic markers and added some accents with a black glaze pen, some black sticky pearls, and black lace. The designer paper is K and Co. specialty pad. The cute sketch is this week's Friday Sketchers, but I turned it on it's side. The sentiment stamp is from The Rubber Cafe'. This card is also for the Digital Tuesday Challenge to use lace and pearls. Have a great day!
