Silly Kitty WSC45

I got this neat set of cling stamps this week. They are Penny Black from Eclectic Paperie. You can see the entire set here. I am crazy about this funny kitty. This card is for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge. I colored the image with prismacolor pencils and added shine and depth to the bubbles with SU Crystal Effects. This stuff should come by the gallon hehe! The entire card is vellum it added some neat texture to the project. Hope you like it !

Couple Curly Suprisabellas

These are what I came up with yesterday. I used rub on's for the sentiments. I am really good at getting rub on's stuck to my fingers so I was pleased these managed to get entirely on the cards. The images are Bella's from Stampingbella. If you are new to them check out the site. They are just the cutest! I colored both images with prismacolor pencils and did the shading with mineral spirits. Some of you have asked about how this is done. I found a great tutorial here. Hope you like them!

Beach Scene

A friend told me about this tutorial on Michelle Zindorf's blog (clik here to see). I am astounded by her art and had to give this background a try. She used a neat table and glass on her beach...I had a sandcastle so had to make due. I had fun creating it...pick a tutorial of hers and give it a try...you'll be amazed at what you can do!

Sketch Challenge 44

This is a cute new stamp by Stampabilities. The line is called "Gruffies". I am nuts about their House Mouse line and looks like I have a new one to enjoy! This card was for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #44. I was anxious to use the new stamp and think the little bears turned out really neat. Hope you like them!

First Bella Card

This is my first Bella Card. If you aren't familiar with them...don't say I didn't warn you. They are adorable and addictive! Here's a link to the site. I used the colored pencils on this one, blending with the mineral spirits again. This is just too fun.

Sparkly Fairy

This is a sweet fairy I did for a swap where we had to use some sort of sewing on the project. I used my sewing maching to do the zigzag outlines on the background. The paper across the bottom looks like it has a loop sort of stitching, but that's printed. I stamped the fairy (Lizzie Annie Designs) with Staz On and painted her with watercolor pencils and twinkling H2o's. I added SU Crystal Effects to make her wings stand out more. I stuck a little light blue gem on the top of her wand. I think she's cute, hope you enjoy her!

Time For Bubbly...

This was my first try at coloring with colored pencils (Prismacolors) and blending/shading them with mineral spirits ($5 a big can at Lowes). I had a blast and have been a coloring fool since then! This set is from My Favorite Things. Same place as the cute dog walking set. I used SU crystal effects to make the mirror extra shiny. I added detail to the rug with a black pigma pen.

Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge 43

This neat peacock is another of my treasures from Cat's Craft Cupboard. I used prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits to color it. The ribbon is an old SU one, bright rainbow. Sad it is retired now huh? I always enjoyed using it on bright projects. Hope you like it.

Cupcakes

I had received a swap with this cupcake stamp in it a few years ago...I ran across it at Cat's Craft Cupboard the other day. I was so excited to find it! I whipped up a bunch of them all in different colors. I stamped the image in black staz on then painted the cupcake image with Twinkling H2O's. I topped each cupcake with some sparkles. The platter is silver from a prismacolor pencil then shiny from SU crystal effects. The background is Cuttlebug's happy birthday embossing folder. Hope you enjoy!

Ice Cream Sunday

This yummy little card is what I came up with for a SWAP. Our cards had to contain green and brown. This is an old SU set that's retired (Sweet Treats), but I'm just silly about it.

p.s. To the last picture....My littlest dachshund ate the bone off that card hehe! My son was "showing" it to her and she snarfed it up!

Walk the Dog

I'm crazy about my dogs...so of course this stamp set was an absolute must have! I was thrilled to receive it for Christmas from my in-laws. This line of stamps is by My Favorite Things. The image is stamped with black dye ink and colored in with Copic Markers. The ribbon is from Michaels. The little dog treat is real and I stuck it on with a really big zot. The dress also has SU Crystal Effects on it...I just had to add some sparkle hehe!
