Fabulously Distressed
Yes I say I'm a stamper, but in all honesty there's not much stampin on this card. I used a bargain pack of leftover scrapbook class paper that I picked up for $3.50 and came up with this. I used the Fabulous Flowers set "Fabulous" stamp in SU basic brown. I sponged all edges in the same. The fuzzy white on the flowers is flocking by Stampendous. This stuff is such fun to play with! Flower centers have SU Crystal Effects to make them pop out more. The flowers are from paper by HollyMcCaig's Spring Fling Collection...I just cut them out and used dimensional adhesives behind them. The mini brads are antique bronze, no clue which company. Hope you enjoy!

Sketch Challenge WSC41
This is what I came up with for Beate's sketch challenge . I just love Penny Black hedgehogs! They just hop in my cart I swear! The image is stamped on white with Staz On then colored in with Faber-Castel water color pencils. I put little blue sticky gems for the flower centers and Crystal Effects on the big flower petals. I put a high dimensional adhesive square under the image so it sets up above the ribbon. I added a cute flower charm I have had for AGES hehe. I think it turned out very springy and cute.
Ladybug ladybug...
This card was inspired by this ladybug ribbon I found at Hobby Lobby. I used the SU ladybugs set (retired). The verse is by My Sentiments Exactly. The felt ribbon is also something I found at Hobby Lobby and it's by The Paper Studio. I used wire to make the little feelers of each bug and the top is a strip of adhesive topped with red Martha Stewart glitter. The ladybug spots are topped with black diamond Stickles and their heads are shiny from Crystal Effects. Hope you enjoy!

Hedgehog Birthday
This is one of my most favorite birthday cards ever! I just adore Penny Black hedgehogs. This one is called "country lady". I started with a base postcard of craft paper. I made a mini-envelope using a template I picked up at Michaels (Anna Griffin). The little mini card cake looks yummy with chocolate frosting made out of dark brown marker topped with crystal effects! The platter is done with silver paint pen. I sponged around the entire outside of the postcard to give it a distressed edge. I made a pile of these and think I may have to get back into the business they were so popular with my RAK friends!
Have a great weekend! GO JAYHAWKS!

New Photos Comin Up!
Hope all of you are enjoying a beautiful Spring day! I didn't get any stamping done today because I was busy making a new slide show to display my cards on. I really like this one better and you can stop it to see everything easily. I plan to do the same for all the gorgeous cards I've received too. I hope to get something pretty made tonight while I watch Dancin With The Stars...yes I just love that show.
Have a great evening!

Isn't this little frog just the cutest! It's a Penny Black stamp and I got it for Christmas from my dear sister in law. I made 12 of these pull out cards for a swap I'm participating in at Scrapbook's Etc. I'm not sure the photo shows how the little flower is cut out and sets above the frog like an umbrella. The swap they do has a packet of materials you are given to use in creating your cards. Each month you make yours, take them back and you'll get 12 cards other people made in return! Love swaps....they're addictive though! I used my SU pastels to color the froggie and his flower. I put some sparklies on the flower with Stickles in cotton candy and yellow. Hope you enjoy!

What I've been working on this week
I have been working on two big projects this week. The first was my Easter cards. I got the cute little sacks from Scrapbooks Etc. I saw a cute card on SCS where they used the petal as the carrot for and the swirly stamp from Baroque Motifs for the top. Well I then ran across the new folder (4 actually) for Cuttlebug that has petals and even a cutting plate for the flower. So I embossed the carrots instead. I punched a tag and put the cute little chick from the Gifts of Spring set on it (with craft Basic Brown). I colored it in with chalks. The carrots and craft paper edges are sponged with Really Rust. I love how they turned out. Watch your mailbox!
Easter Card Materials:
Mini paper sacks
Pumpkin Pie Cardstock (SU)
Craft paper/envelopes (Hobby Lobby)
natural twine
1/4" grosgrain orange ribbon (SU)
1/2" round punch (SU)
mini brads in green
Cuttlebug flower folder
Glorious Green Stamp Pad (SU)
Really Rust Stamp Pad (SU)
Baroque Motifs Stamp Set (SU)
Basic Brown Craft Stamp Pad (SU)
chalks (SU)
Tag punch (SU)
sponges and gloves if you don't want to get messy fingers
Wooohoo I'm a blogger!
This is my inital attempt at creating a blog. There's so many neat ones out there I decided to jump in and give it a shot! Enjoy your visit and feel free to offer ideas!
