Stamps and Smiles Project Tuesday-1 sheet box

What a fun little box! This was super fast and would be a great holder for a gift card too. The tutorial to make your own is right here. I used plain craft paper and stamped it with a Tom Holtz Walnut ink. The stamp is by Stampin Up, Stippled Stencils (ret). I grabbed some matching designer paper from my stash and a little twine to finish it off. Please head over to The Project Tuesday blog to see the boxes made by the designers! We'd love to see your samples too!

Whimsy Stamps-Pink Horse

I was so anxious to ink up this beautiful stamp! I am amazed at Crissy's incredible drawing talent...then I go look at her beautiful coloring work!!! When I grow up I wanna be just like her!!! This carousel horse is titled "Untamed Love" . The detail of it makes is so fun to color! I used lots of Luminarte's Twinkling H20's on this for some shimmer. Thanks for letting me share it with you!

Paperworks Co.-Octopus 4 I adore!

Click HERE for the Whimsy Stamps Blog Hop

I am tired of snow and cold temperatures! I decided it's time to work with some bright colors...maybe it will help! I decided to use the adorable Octopus from "Aqua Amigos".

I wanted a sea themed designer paper and any kind would do. I found this one in my stash. To jazz it up a bit I used some scalloped vellum circles (used my Nestabilities) to mount each octopus on. The entire circle is raised just a bit with a dimensional dot adhesive. I felt it still needed something to bring it all together, so the silver brads and twine were just the ticket! Thanks for letting me share it with you...hopefully it brightened your day as well.

~Lisa

Supplies Used:

Stamps: Aqua Amigos-Octopus and Aqua Amigos Sentiment "sending oceans of good wishes"

Papers: bright orange and teal card stock, plain vellum, sea themed designer paper of your choice

Copic Markers: YG03, YG25, YG67, V000, V01, V15, YR12, YR04, YR18, BG01, BG05

Misc. Embellishments: 4 large silver brads, hemp twine, sea themed charm, dimensional dots, white glaze pen (for dots in the eyes)

Today's new release image was exactly what this candle jar needed! I colored it with Copics, added white Tulip fabric paint for the snow and cut it out. A little adhesive and feather trim fixed it right up! Be sure to stop by Stamps and Smiles store to see all the new images!

Stamps and Smiles, The Fresh Batch Sketch Challenge #47

Click HERE for the Whimsy Stamps Blog Hop

This was a fun sketch to work with...lots of flexibility! I used the snowman from "Tis the Season" and the sentiment and mini cupcake from "Carl the Cupcake". All these sets and the digi stamps can be found in the Stamps and Smiles store. I used some snowflake paper that was deep in my stash hehe. The white ribbon is an old Stampin Up satin ribbon.
Please be sure you stop by TFB blog and see everyone's wonderful inspiration for this sketch. We'd love for you to play along with us too!

Stamps and Smiles New Digi Release- Hot Chocolate

I made a holder for a packet of hot chocolate. I just thought it fit this image so well. I can't find a tutorial for one of these...I'm sure there's one out there. I just wrapped the paper around the packet, sealed it with sticky tape and crimped the bottom edge, then hole punched the top. Not too tough at all. I used some white craft ink to put tiny snowflakes on the blue before I put it together. The snowflake is a chipboard piece I purchased. Fun project with a really cute new image! Stop by the Stamps and Smiles Store to see the new images!

House Mouse Challenge #60 "On the Beach"

Click HERE for the Whimsy Stamps Blog Hop

This challenge is trying to get us to think warm! After the blizzard we had for Christmas I'm all for warm! For this card I used "Beach Cooler". It is a busy image so I went with a simple layout. The ice cubes are topped with Paper Glaze to give them a nice shine, but my photos do not capture it very well. The little flower centers are tiny yellow beads glued onto the center. The flower petals have a little shimmer from some Twinkling H20 in Icicle. My sentiment is just printed off from my pc. The ribbon is actually white satin ribbon by Stampin Up that I colored with my BG10 Copic marker to match. The top left clear circles are from Stampin Bella. I wanted a little something for that corner, but not too much. I like how it compliments the shine on the ice cubes.
I so enjoy seeing everyone's take on our challenges. I hope you find some inspiration from our team! Be sure to join us this week...you can see the details on the House Mouse Challenge Blog.

Be sure to get your entry in for the awesome candy (details at the bottom of this post!). Have fun on your ride!

I hope you're enjoying the wonderful samples of the designers. I always amazes me at the variety we end up with.
This is my first card using the new set "Cool Ride". I love the beautiful details on these new stamps! I decided to dust of my Prismacolor pencils and OMS to tackle this beautiful image. I wanted soft colors and some sparkle. I used a fine mist of iridescent gold Radiant Rain over the finished image. I added a tiny bit of crystal stickles here and there on the snowflakes. The big snowflake brad is one of my favorite embellishments. It came in a package of 4 different ones, but I can't tell you who made them sorry. I used the Martha Stewart snowflake border punch on the lilac glitter paper for the panel on top of the ribbon. The sheer paper on the bottom layer of the image is just plain vellum. Lastly, the fur on the pretty horse blanket is white Tulip fabric paint. This stuff is wonderful for fur, snow and such. Hope you like it!

Beneath is a photo of the wonderful candy Denise is giving away for this hop. You won't want to miss out on this so be sure to leave your entry in Mr. Linky on the Whimsy Blog (your next stop)!
