Stamps and Smiles, Project Tuesday-Side Step Card

This was a choice of mine to have our blog friends create a side step card. I think they are so different and a fun take on cards! I used a Magnolia snowman for my image. It's colored with Copic markers and touched up with some Tulip fabric paint and glitter for the fur of the hat, snow, and snowflakes. The pretty flocked base card paper is from Anne Griffin's Christmas Stack. I used chipboard and plastic snowflakes from my stash. I have a collection of them ! I will share two different links for you on how to make one (link one, link two). They are not difficult I promise! Please be sure you stop by the Project Tuesday Blog to see all the wonderful inspiration and we would love to have you join us!

I'm Published again *cheer*

I just received this issue in the mail today with two of my cards in it! WOW!!!
This tulip card is on page 11

This Magnolia card is on page 27.

Thanks for letting me share this exciting news with you!

Guest Design Project for Squigglefly

This card took sparkly snow to the extreme! I wanted to really tell a difference between each layer of snow. I got out my infamous "Box O Sparklies" and used Decoart's Glamour Dust (very fine) for the top left section. It is a light gray color underneath from a Copic, I wanted a little shading as well. The middle layer is Stampin Up's chunky white glitter. The bottom layer, my favorite snow glitter, is Martha Stewart's "Snow". It's seriously flaky! The cute image is from Squigglefly and a digital stamp. This pretty paper is by BoBunny. I added some pretty white ribbon roses and chipboard snowflakes to finish off the corner. Thanks for letting me share it with you!

About my card:
This card is made from the "Joys of the Season" digi set and the gift from the "Christmas Eve" set. I merged them in Photoshop so the little girl holds a gift instead of feeding the little bird. My background paper is Basic Grey. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the pink panel. The little smooth gems are a new find from Hobby Lobby. I love using them on cards! Unfortunately they didn't photograph very well on this. They are really pink. The little girl is standing on a bit of flower soft snow (polar white). The shimmer on my image is from Spica markers. I love how they work with digi stamps! I never have bleeding issues. I hope you enjoy my little card and have a wonderful time on our blog hop!

For my give away you just have to leave a comment with your email (or have your email addy available on your own blog). I hate having a winner and no way to get a hold of them!!! I am giving away "Believe in the Magic". Thanks for joining our hop!

Stamps and Smiles New Digi Release Project

I made a candle wrap using the "Santa and his Reindeer" digi stamp from Stamps and Smiles. I used a fine line sharpie pen to trace the image onto vellum. On the opposite side I colored the image with Copics. I cut a large oval into two navy panels of card stock with my Coluzzle. I put this image on one side and the other side is just plain vellum. I edged the opening with some lace and a pretty bow. The candle inside is in glass and tall enough that it won't set the paper on fire...that would not be good hehe. Hope you like it!

Stamps and Smiles, The Fresh Batch Sketch #44 and Day 4 of the New Digi Release

I worked quite a while coming up with my card for this week's sketch. I think the 3 circles had my brain thinking "snowman snowman snowman". I wanted something different and thanks to good software I came up with this. I love the sentiment and thought it would be neat to put something joyous in each circle. All these images are from Stamps and Smiles new Digi release this week. There is still time to join in the fun and we're even having a blog hop tomorrow! Stop by Stamps and Smiles Blog to get all the details! Don't forget to also check out all the wonderful inspiration samples the design team came up with for this sketch at The Fresh Batch!
This is the final day to take advantage of the freebie too...click the box for that link.

Now for today's new release!

This fireplace image is my most favorite of the new release digital images from Stamps and Smiles. I added the stockings and trees to complete the image. You can see everything this set comes with at Stamps and Smiles. The options with this set are almost unending! It's hard to see on my photo, but the trees are raised up with dimensional adhesive, as is the entire fireplace. The logs set back a bit from the main image. I used chalks to give the pretty glow to the fire. My tree's ornaments are sparkly from Martha Stewart fine red glitter. Thanks for letting me share these projects with you! I hope you've found some inspiration.

Polar Bear Hollydays

This week the Angel's Landing Designers were challenged to use border punches on our creations. I love using them so this was lots of fun! I used the cute polar bear in full winter attire from the Polar Bear Cubs set at Angel's Landing. He's colored with Copic markers. I also love the piercing borders Judi has and thought the holly one worked really well with this. I wanted a border punch to compliment the pierced line so I chose a simple scalloped border punch. This one is from Stampin Up, but there are several companies that make one like this. I hope you enjoy my card!

Stamps and Smiles New Release Day 3

Welcome to day 3 of the new release!
One of the scrabble games opened up on Santa's sleigh and some of the letters fell out. Unscramble the letters and email us your answer. The winner will be announced on Thursday.

This Santa and his Reindeer with the moon image is the second new release digital image from Stamps and Smiles. I added the top of the gingerbread house digi stamp so the scene was more complete. I colored the entire background so I had a dark blue night sky. The moon is colored with copics and chalks then topped with paper glaze to give it more dimension and shine. I used Tulip Fabric paint in shine white for the snowy roof. I love the scene this creates. I hope you enjoy it too!
Be sure you stop by all the designers blogs to see their beautiful creations with this new design!

Now about my silly card! I used the skunk and goat both from Whimsy. I just love the expression on the goat's face and thought it fit this so well. It really made me chuckle! I hope it did you as well! Have a great day!
