Summer Fire Flies

Click HERE for the Whimsy Stamps/Make It Crafty Blog Hop

I don't know about other parts of the world, but during the summer here in Kansas we have fire flies (lightening bugs) like crazy! Sometimes the yard looks like it has a sparkly carpet! They just amaze me. I don't usually say things like that about bugs hehe. I was looking at my Meljen's images the other day and thought this one would be so cute colored at night to show it's glow! I used chalks to make it glow and to make the background dark. Our summer is coming to a close...I'm thankful the 120' temps are gone, but sad to see this time end with my kids!
