A couple Magnolia Cards

I've got the house to myself...even the dogs are quiet! So I spend the afternoon with Tilda. I had a great time creating these and had absolutely no reason whatsoever! No sketch, no colors I had to use....just whatever I felt inspired by! Hope you enjoy them!

Pretty Tilda with Candle

I think this Tilda is just precious! This card is my submission for this week's Friday Sketch Challenge. Usually I can whip up a card for a sketch challenge PDQ, but this one made me think! I not only had to use the sketch, but the colors blue and orange as well! I went with more of a peach tone. I hope you like it! Have a great Sunday!

Winter Friends

These cute pals are from Whimsy Stamps. I used Copic markers to color them. The water has this new stuff (well at least new to me) called Crackle Accents on it. It's like Crystal Effects or paper glaze, but it is all cracked when it drys. Cool look for ice! The Whimsy Challenge this week was to add sparkle to your card...my kinda challenge LOL! I used the cute stamp from Whimsy Stamps. They are having a nice sale right now (see details below!). Thanks for looking at my card!

Dinosaur Nap

This little cutie is from Rubber Stamp Ave. There are several of them I think. I love the sweet expression on this one. This card is for a couple challenges this weekend. Stamp Something, we were to use an animal. Dragons are animals right??? LOL The sketch I used is for Our Creative Corner this weekend. Lastly, the Flourishes challenge #30 was to use pearls. My close up shows the dragon wings with pearls, Stickles, and Crystal Effects. Gotta have sparkle!

We like treats too!

Oh yes it's yet another dog card hehe, but he has a kitty friend this time! All the stamps are from The Rubber Cafe'. I'll put a list of supplies at the bottom of my post. I used a mask and sponging again to create the spooky background. It's so cool and is very easy to do! If you are wondering how to do it, my Haunted House post has good directions { link }. I won't type all that out again and make this so long hehe. Instead of sponging from the inside outward like on the Haunted House, I just went left to right...I like how it looks windy! Enjoy!

Hoppin for your love!

I'm not a bug person...not even sorta kinda! This one, however, is the exception to the rule! I think he's adorable! He's a digital image from Dustin Pike. The little sentiment is by Whimsy Stamps. This card is for the Digital Tuesday Challenge. We were to "hop to it". I colored the little critter with Copics, and his wings are sparkly from a Spica pen. I wanted to use Crystal Effects on the wings terribly, but hate how the ink bleeds. Oh well, he's cute regardless!

Design Team Call- Digital Tuesday Challenge has a call going on right now! Here's the link

Spicy!

Oh what a fun image to play with! This image is from Third Coast Art Rubber Stamps. I made this card for this week's S2G Challenge. We were to follow a sketch and they always throw in a "twist". This week's twist is to use red. I think I got that covered hehe. I love sparkle and was able to really run with that on this! Hope you like her as well!

Dashing Dachshund

I love dogs, not exactly new news hehe. This card is for the VC Challenge this week. We were to use a Victoria Case Digital Stamp and the colors blue and brown. Too fun! This paper is even digital hehe. I had downloaded gobs of digital stuff for scrapbooking, but thought it would work wonderfully for card projects too! Hope you like it!

Read to em!

As a former teacher I'm always game for anything that gets kids to read! I made this Tilda bookmark for my mom..she loves to read. I did tell her she can't lose it though! It's too cute to lose! I'm also using this Tilda for the challenge at Simon Says Stamp this week..."Back to School". Thanks for visiting!

Halloween Game Time

Oh what fun this was! I love this set and am amazed at all the pieces that come with it! The set is "Trick or Treat" from The Rubber Cafe'. I used a 6 inch card base for this. The tic tac toe grid is just printed from my computer. The inside designer paper is from Doodlebug Designs. I have a clear envelope with paper attached to it's tab to hold my game pieces on this side. The game pieces are punched with the 1 1/4" circle punch. I covered the backs of these as well. The images are colored with Copic markers. I like how this cute game will mail flat! Just a fun, different take on a Halloween card! Thanks for looking!

The Fresh Batch Sketch #30

I'm a pink freak...I admit it! I love the combination of pink and brown! I used the "You Warm My Heart" set from Stamps and Smiles. My paper is kraft paper from Hobby Lobby with Chocolate Chip and Pretty in Pink (both Stampin Up). I added Stickles in cinnamon to the cupcake top for some sparkle. I stamped the cupcake, chocolate chips and background texture in Adirondack, Espresso. I sponged the kraft paper in the same. Be sure to check out the other contributions to this sketch at The Fresh Batch! You don't want to miss out~have a great day!

Halloween Tilda

This little card was selected in this week's Gallery top 5 at SNR Card Universe! If you have an account (they're free) here's the link. Thanks for the honor Cheryl!

Oh yes another fun halloween card! I love making them hehe. This one was particularly fun. I used a stitching template by Bazzill Basics, two actually. The thread is Krelink black thread...not easy to use lemme tell ya! I decorated around the stitching holes with chalks before I stitched. The witch Tilda is a Magnolia. Here's the link where I buy mine. The witches brew and little spider friend are from I Brake For Stamps, here's a link to that sheet. The base paper is Natural Confetti, Stampin Up. I painted the entire sheet (after I applied the chalks) with Luminarte's Shimmering Mist in Iridescent Gold. I wanted to have some sparkle and set the chalk. To get the cool burn around the brew recipe I used a candle and nearly drove my family out of the room from the smell hehe. I'm using this card in the Creative Inspiration Challenge this week. Hope you enjoy my little witch!

Project Tuesday-Treat Box

This cute little box is my take on this week's project at Project Tuesday. Here's a link to a complete tutorial. I changed mine just a little...I made my designer paper the same size as my front window and the window is also covered on the inside by clear plastic. I know...there's no stamping at all, but the little pieces I had matched my paper soooooo well I just had to use them! I filled my box will Jelly Bellies! Cute fun project! Be sure to stop by the blog to see everyone else's creations this week!

MoJo in Michelle's Honor

I'm sad to share that a stamping friend of mine, Michele Hale was struck and killed as she was jogging today. I am so sad for her family and will miss her wonderful creative work and words of encouragement.
This MoJo Monday Sketch card is in her honor. I am sending it to her family. The flower is inspired by Michelle Zindorf's tutorial here.
Please keep her family and friends in your prayers.

Copic Marker Book

I made this little book to use when I needed to compare colors easily! I put all the files to share on Splitcoast. Here's a link. Maybe it'll be handy for you too!

Woooo Nellie!

This little lady is a Sugar Nellie stamp. I have no affiliation with them at all, but sure think they're cute! This one is my entry for the Our Creative Corner Challenge this week. This challenge is cool...they have NO TIME LIMIT! Gotta like that! We needed to use some of the new In Color Stampin Up Colors....like that's hard hehe. I love love LOVE the new pretty Soft Suede! I don't think I'll ever get tired of it! I made this little sketch up all on my own (shock I know lol). The precious teal buttons are Doodlebug...found them in the bargain bin at Archivers :) Hope you like her!

What a hoot!

What a fun card! I love this image from Whimsy! The little owl's expression is adorable. Here's a link for you. They have the cutest stamps! This card is for the Whimsy Challenge this week to use ribbons. The orange ribbon is easy to see, the dark brown ribbons are the border on the left and right of the designer paper strip. The little sentiment cut out is a Sizzix. Boy are those tricky to work with! Hope you give a hoot for my card hehe.

My Desk Partner

Just had to share this with you all. This is Tiffers (Aka Tiffany). This is her bed on my left desk drawer that is pulled out. She sits here with me as I work on things. She is a pretty good desk partner, though she does whine on occasion for help down or "snacks". Her bucket of "snacks" is on my desk hehe.

Lighthouse by Night

Oh is this image gorgeous! I love the sketchy look of it and enjoyed using it for this card so much! I think it looks like a painting! It's from KLM Designs and you can see it and all of her wonderful images here. I printed it out twice and used one as a mask so I could sponge the background. I wanted to do a night scene with it and thought the dark blue sky with the lighthouse light would be cool. I'd never done a night scene so I was completely winging it hehe. I colored the house and trees with dark colors then went over all of it with a gray. I am really pleased with how it turned out. I'm also using this card for this week's Midnight Madness challenge and Digital Tuesday Challenge. Hope you like it too~
