Willow blowing kisses...

This stamp is of Willow.  She is from a company called Whiff of Joy.  They have just my kind of stamps!  I don't have many of theirs yet, but as usual I'm working on my collection!  I had a blast making this one.  I used their sketch and painted Willow with my watercolor pencils.  I added tiny sticky pearls to give her some bling.  If you look really close you can even see her pink toenails! The design paper is by Heidi Grace designs.  The scallop punch is by Martha Stewart.  The rub on sentiment is Stampin Up.  The flowers are Prima.  The base paper is craft brown, layers are Chocolate chip and Pixie Pink by Stampin Up.  I added sparkle to her wings and blowing hearts with Twinkling H20's.  Enjoy!

Birthday Wishes for Kari

This little beauty was framed and given to my dear friend Kari on her birthday yesterday.  I found a perfect black square frame at Michaels.  This way she can see her card all the time, not stuff it in a drawer!  I used a prima flower cut in half for the flower Tilda sits on.  I cut up the top half and glued it back on it sections to have a fuller flower for her perch.  The sparkly sticker letters are from Target ( LOVE em!).  I printed out the sentiment on vellum.  I'm really proud of how she turned out.  I think Kari enjoyed her too!

Froggie

Who said frogs have to be for boys?  I used this cute lil frog on a leaf to make a card for a friend.  The little tag sentiment is a rub on.  I used watercolor pencils on the image.  I used crystal effects and ultra thick embossing powder for the leaf.  I wanted it to have some texture. The stamp is from Dog Gone Stamps.  The white ribbon is by Stampin Up.  Hope you like it!

Mermaid

This pretty little mermaid is from I Brake For Stamps.  I background is a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The very bottom layer is vellum.  I just stumbled upon the tiny shells at Michael's in the floral section.  The little scene and sentiment stamps are Stampin Up...Fintastic set (retired).  I painted the mermaid with watercolor pencils and twinkling H2o's (did you hear the company that makes them is going out of business *Gasps).  Hope you like her...she was really fun to make.

Tilda with her Birdie friends

This card was for a Magnolia Sketch challenge.  I just got the Tilda this week.  I love the little hat.  I'd had the birds for a while.  The paper and sentiment are all by Flavia.  I love that sentiment and thought the birds were just perfect companions for her.  Have a wonderful Sunday!

Rain or Shine

Can you believe it?  I did a card with a non-Magnolia stamp hehe.  This little lady is named Willow.  She is from Whiff of Joy stamps.  They are a Swedish Company.  I love their art.  Unfortunately the colors I used just didn't photograph as well as I'd of liked.  I used the new Stampin Up Designer Paper Raspberry Tart.  It is vibrant shades of pink and green.  I LOVE this paper hehe.  The ribbon is a retired Stampin Up, Purely Pomegr.  I used watercolor pencils on the image and Crystal Effects for the raindrops.  The scallop edge pu nch is by Martha Stewart.  Hope you like her!  I had a lot of fun making this.

Sitting Pretty Tilda

Yes, another Tilda.  The background is by Whiff of Joy.  The log and Tilda are both Magnolia's of course.  They are all watercolored with pencil.  The rub on sentiment is by Stampin Up. Just wanted to share!

RaKoon Envelope

I am in a RAK (random act of kindness) group that sends lots of rak's and never ever saw any stamps to make my envelopes spiffy.  I ran across these at I Brake for Stamps and fell in love with them!  There's a couple different Rakoons (yes I meant to spell it that way hehe) and multiple sayings.  I think they make gettin Rak'd even more special!  I used an extra big envie for this one and sponged the edges in brown.  The little brackets are from some $1 set I picked up at Michael's a while back.  I thought they set off the return addy and mailing addy nicely.  I colored the racoon with chalks so get a soft look.  I did the mailbox and letter in prismacolor pencils blended with mineral spirits.  The little paw prints are from the Stampin Up "Canine Capers" (ret) set.  Hope you enjoy it-have a great day!

p.s. you can purchase the stamps here

Sunny Tilda

I want to thank you all for your support on the loss of Maggie.  It's so comforting to know so many of you care.
Did you notice what a better photo I have of this card than in the past?  My dear hubby Aaron got me the coolest Valentine's gift!  He got an entire set of of lights and the box for me to take nice, well lit photos of my cards with.  How cool is that?  I hadn't even thought of such a thing!
This little stone path she's walking on is not a Magnolia, but by I Brake For Stamps.  I thought it was a perfect footing for so many of the Tilda's!  It's so easy to color it too!  I mean rocks are every color almost!
I hope she brightens your day!  She's really one of my fav's.

Maggie

I know this is in know way related to my art, but since it's close to my heart I'm sharing.  This photo is of my sweet dog Maggie.  She left us yesterday to go and be pain free and happy again.  She's not been in good health for some time.  My hopes are that she's in heaven with my dad, who was always her favorite person to rub her belly.  She will be terribly missed by my family and our other dog Missie.

Elephant Birthday

I made this sweet lil elephant card today.  I just love the face of it!  The eye is so expressive!  The stamp is by Dog Gone Stamps.  The design paper is by Paper Heart...found in my stash!  I love the coral-pink color.  I used my watercolor pencils on the image and the sentiment is a little rub on (those are just sooo handy).  Hope you enjoy it!

Cherry Valentine

I love sending Valentines and this one is certainly being sent to a good friend!  I got this Tilda for Christmas and what fun she is to color!  I used the paper and embellishments by K and Co.  I love the bright fun colors.  The heart she's sitting on is from Michael's....they came in a package of 8 or so.  I thought it was a cute addition and the match was perfect.  The little gold heart is found in the bridal aisle at Hobby Lobby..they come in packages with a bunch of them...either silver or gold.  The heart border punch is by Martha.  I had fun making this..hope you enjoy looking!

HUGE Announcement!

These two sweet fishes are my first work as a Design Team member  for  Dog Gone Stamps.  I've long wanted to be on some DT's so I'm just about to burst with excitement!  This is a new company that's just starting and as you all know I'm just crazy about dogs so what a perfect fit!  I'm excited to be using their stamps to make some fun new cards!  Please check out their site!  It's just starting so they'll be adding new stamps often!
OH duh about the card...I used the stamp found here called "fish and worm".  I used the fish alone and stamped it on vellum with black staz on then turned it over and stamped it again!  I colored the images with Prismacolor pencils and blended with mineral spirits.  The bubbly water background is from a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The little blue baubles are from Stamping Bella.  The sentiment is a SU rub on. The hearts in between are by Doodlebug Design colored in with a red copic marker.  Think that covers it hehe.

Sunflower Tilda

I made this for a color challenge on the Magnolialicious Yahoo grp.  We had to use Regal Rose, Rose Red, Old Olive, and So Saffron colors from Stampin Up.  As usual I used watercolor pencils to paint the image.  I had some DP of Regal Rose and So Saffron.  The other two are just plain card stock.  I made the scallop ovals with Spellbinders.  Hope you enjoy her!  Have a wonderful day!

Valentine Tilda

I so hope you're not sick of my fascination with this line of stamps!  I made this for a COTM contest in my Card Cafe' yahoo group.  Those awesome ladies were kind enough to vote for it so it's posted as their home page art this entire month.  They're a great group!  I used the "kissin" technique on the big flower.  I am a pink freak so I just went crazy with this one hehe.  Hope you enjoy her!

Today's Stamp Club Project

My Stamp club met today to make this nifty little jar.  I can honestly say I came up with this design all on my own!  The set is from the new SU catalog "Just Buzzin By".  I used bubble wrap that is rubbed with the More Mustard Stamp pad to made the strip that goes around the jar.  I stamped the sentiment with black Staz On onto the gold organza (sorry, retired) ribbon.  I used some gold craft wire secured with tape to make the little bees fly up from the lid.  The jars were $2 at Hobby Lobby.  The girls suggested a beeswax candle to go inside... even a yellow candy would be cute.  Hope you like it!
